Bringing about change
Advancing EDI was created by me, Claire Herbert. Having worked in both policy and research roles at a national and organisational level, I understand how complicated and emotive equality, diversity and inclusion can be.

I originally went freelance to be able to work more flexibly while my children were young, but then I realised how much I enjoy working with different organisations to develop and implement lasting change.
Having an external viewpoint can help generate new ideas, navigate internal politics and ensure people are heard and able to input into decisions. Having worked in academic environments for a long time, I understand the importance of data and research to guide this work. I also understand the need to translate that evidence into tangible, meaningful action.

In addition to myself, I have a network of experienced and talented colleagues who I can bring on board depending on the needs of the project. I have associates who are experts in charter marks, consultation and listening exercises, training, research and policy.
